Del Mar NewsDecember 21, 2016Dear Families:
No such thing as winding down before holiday break. Last week students assembled for wonderful winter music concerts featuring the Del Mar Orchestra and Steel Band, as well as for our monthly emergency preparation/safety drill. This week students are immersed in a variety of activities that include: chemistry experiments, brain stations and ocean presentations in science, writing letters about literature to favorite authors and much, much more.
Our holiday food drive is complete-Del Mar students and families were very generous with this year's donations to the Marin Food Bank.
Reminder: Tomorrow is our last School Spirit Day of 2016-Students, wear ugly sweaters to show your school spirit and pride!
On behalf of the Del Mar staff, thank you for sharing your children with us and for working together to support their learning and growth. We are fortunate to be part of such a great community.
Wishing you all a happy, restful and fun holiday break. I am looking forward to a great 2017, a year in which, together, we will provide more great opportunities and support for students so they enjoy their journey of learning and celebrate their progress and accomplishments.
Best regards,
Alan
