School Board

Reed Union School District has a 5-member Board of Trustees. Each trustee is locally elected and serves a 4-year term in office. The Superintendent also serves as a member of the RUSD's governance team and has responsibilities to support Board operations and decision-making. As the policy making body for the school district, the Board of Trustees is charged with providing a quality educational program for students in grades Kindergarten through Eight in accordance with the California Constitution, the laws of the state, adopted Board policies, and the desires of the community.

The RUSD Board of Trustees views board service as a voluntary contribution to the community and elects not to receive the compensation to which it is entitled by law.

RUSD Public Board meetings typically begin at 6:00 PM and are held at the Staff Development Center at Bel Aire School, 277 Karen Way, Tiburon, California 94920.For more information, Please call the superintendent's office at (415) 381-1112.
