    Each spring, all students in grades three through eight participate in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP).

    Over the course of the year, the Reed Union School District has engaged in a thoughtful and comprehensive process to evaluate and select new instructional materials for our K - 5 English Language Arts program.
    Phoebe Hearst Outstanding Educator Award.  Each year we give parents the opportunity to nominate a favorite teacher for the Phoebe Hearst Outstanding Educator Award
     
    While children stayed home from school last Monday, Kindergarten through eighth grade teachers participated in iInspire, an Edcamp model where teachers shared their expertise in instructional practices, best uses of technology and much more.
      
    To enhance the District's focus on bully prevention and intervention to include diversity and inclusion, a district wide Diversity Committee was formed in September 2016. 
     
    Students at Reed School and Bel Aire School recently had the opportunity to participate in The Great Kindness Challenge.

    Due to a high incidence of norovirus infection in Marin, the Marin County Department of Health and Human Services advises that students who have contracted norovirus shouldnot return to school until over 48 hours after their last episode of vomiting, with or without fever.

    RUSD Safety Committee's newly established safety goals for 2017-18
     
    Each year, California school districts are required to update their Comprehensive Safety Plan. RUSD has established a Safety Committee that collaborates to develop two priority goals, which are included in this annual plan.
     
    In the wake of the North Bay fires and the resultant varying air quality, we remain in communication with Dr. Matt Willis, Marin County Public Health Officer.
     
    October is National Bully Prevention month.
     
    RUSD Disaster Preparedness Student Release Procedures.
