The Reed Union School District Maintenance and Operations Department is committed to the job of providing and maintaining the best possible learning environment for our students.
Maintenance & Operations
Under the leadership of the Director of Maintenance and Operations Eduardo Munoz, this department includes a total of 12 staff members:
- The Administrative Assistant to act as a communications focal point and assist the Director in the coordination of all Department activities. He also is the contact person for scheduling the use of school facilities by outside groups after school hours and on weekends.
- Three maintenance/grounds staff to respond to the needs of the three sites in terms of emergencies as well as preventative maintenance, repairs, and small projects. They also assist in the school site openings as well as responding to the day-to-day school-in-session site needs.
- Nine custodial staff working in teams assigned to each of the three school sites, 1 day team and 2 night.
The members of our custodial and maintenance staff are professionals and are proud of the condition and appearance of the Reed, Bel Aire, and Del Mar schools!

Use of District Facilities and Fields
Many of the District’s rooms and fields are available for use by the community. Please see the link to the Facilities Handbook at the left of this page for complete details. This document includes information on the use application process, fees, insurance requirements, priorities for scheduling, a list of the rooms and fields available, field use regulations, and restrictions on use.
The Facilities Use Application is included in that document and is also listed separately for quick access.
Please note that dogs are not allowed on school grounds at any time.
