Welcome to Ms. Sanchez's Classroom

Greetings! My name is Stacia Sanchez, and I teach 5th grade in room E4, or as we like to call it, C.A.T.S. Country. This is my 20th year at Bel Aire and I am delighted to work with such a special staff and fabulous school. I live in San Anselmo with my husband of 27 years, (also a teacher at Bel Aire!), and our children, Carmen (16), and Roman (12). My husband and I met in college, where we both attended the University of Redlands in Southern California. It is there where I earned both my Bachelors and Masters Degree in Education. I began my teaching career in Redlands, and from there I went to teach in Palo Alto for four years. After a two-year stint teaching 5th grade in Alabama while my husband attended graduate school, I returned to the Bay Area and found a wonderful second family right here at Bel Aire. In our free time, my family and I enjoy hiking, biking, music festivals and camping. One of our favorite trips was to France and Italy, where we experienced unique outside activities including backpacking and camping in the French Alps! I also enjoy traveling back to my hometown of Omaha, Nebraska, to visit family and spend time at our cottage on Lake Okoboji, Iowa. I look forward to another year filled with exciting adventures with my 5th grade class!
