Welcome to Mrs. McKay's Classroom!

I’m Karyn McKay (formerly known as Ms. Kelly), and I have been teaching at Bel Aire since 2002! Before coming to Tiburon, I started my teaching career in San Rafael, teaching 3rd grade and Kindergarten at Glenwood School. I then moved to Colorado, where I taught art to 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students in Vail. I returned to California to teach 4th grade for 9 years, 3rd grade, and now 5th grade!

I am a native of Marin County and enjoy everything this area gives to us – the coast, the hills, the beautiful weather. I love being outdoors, especially in the mountains where I enjoy hiking, biking, and snowboarding. I now enjoy taking my own children, Charlotte and Connor, to do these fun activities with me and my husband.
