The Reed Union School District Maintenance and Operations Department is committed to the job of providing and maintaining the best possible learning environment for our students.
Maintenance & Operations
Under the leadership of the Director of Maintenance and Operations, this department includes a total of 12 staff members:
The Administrative Assistant to act as a communications focal point and assist the Director in the coordination of all Department activities. He also is the contact person for scheduling the use of school facilities by outside groups after school hours and on weekends.
Three maintenance/grounds staff to respond to the needs of the three sites in terms of emergencies as well as preventative maintenance, repairs, and small projects. They also assist in the school site openings as well as responding to the day-to-day school-in-session site needs.
Six custodial staff (swing shift), working in three two-member teams assigned to each of the three school sites.
A roving custodian, able to assist in morning school openings, as well as responding throughout the day to the cleanup/setup needs of all three sites.
The members of our custodial and maintenance staff are professionals and are proud of the condition and appearance of the Reed, Bel Aire, and Del Mar schools!
