District API Scores Continue to Excel in State The 2006 Academic Performance Index (API) scores continue to be some of the best scores in the State. A school’s API is a number that ranges from 200 to 1000 and is calculated from the results for each school’s students on last spring’s STAR test. The state has set 800 as the API target for all schools to meet. Last year’s API scores for District Schools are:
Del Mar’s API is the highest for a middle school in Marin County and competitive with top middle schools in other high performing counties. Bel Aire’s API is the highest for any school in our District since the API was first initiated in 1999! The teachers and principals at all schools are to be commended for these outstanding achievement results. For more information go to: http://www.cde.ca.gov/ta/ac/ap/
